Interior view of an entrance area to a senior living facility. A high ceiling frames a neutral colored room with beige and grey trim, with a grey wood reception area desk featured behind a dark wood circular small table with a vase of sunflowers.
Exterior view of a college campus building as seen across an athletic field. The photo appears to be taken at dusk, with lighting illuminating the building from within.

OUR MISSION

We’re architects, designers and planners creating innovative, relevant and thoughtful spaces.

With specialties in senior living, healthcare, education, housing, mixed use, hospitality and interior design, we partner with clients to create projects that meet your goals, always with community in mind.

We’ve won plenty of awards. But we’re especially proud of the environments we design that help people better live, work, learn and heal. To us, that’s design that matters.

Taking the mystery out of accessibility

Taken from behind the subjects, an elderly man and woman follow behind someone pushing a person seated in a wheelchair along a stretch of concrete walkway with guardrails on either side.

We back up our commitment to design for everyone through our work with Access Navigators, a non-profit supported by JSA Design.

Founded by JSA Principal Todd Hanson and Director of Community Engagement Anne Weidman, Access Navigators helps people of all abilities find access-friendly businesses in New England. Thought-leaders in universal design and accessibility, Access Navigators also advocates for people impacted by disabilities.
