The Seasons of Danvers secure courtyard is a finalist for the Environments for Aging 2016 single spaces competition. The courtyard is a vital part of this Alzheimer’s community as it allows a secure outdoor space for residents to walk, socialize and be connected to nature. There are opportunities for gardening and multiple sitting spaces. The courtyard allows for a colorful view from resident rooms and from the central household.

The finished project is nearly unrecognizable from its former self, with bright, life-enhancing renovations in every area of the building and grounds. It has become the centerpiece of this community.
