Built in the late 19th century as a 3-story brick and heavy timber structure, the building was originally owned and occupied by the Margeson Bros Furniture Co. The structure had not received any significant upgrades or improvements in over 70 years. Before the renovation, the roof had failed in areas allowing moisture penetration, threatening the integrity of the structure.
Today the structure is revitalized, bringing a new level of sophistication as it becomes the corporate headquarters of Novocure, a global oncology company developing medical devices that provide innovative cancer therapies.
The lower floors are office and meeting spaces. The rooftop terrace, invisible from the ground, provides outdoor space to employees and guests. The penthouse structure shields rooftop mechanical equipment from view while providing a gathering space for people attending training, seminars, and conferences.
