The Details

Overlooking the Maine coast, not far from the Bushes’ home at Walker Point, the three-story George and BarbaraBush Center is the fifth project JSA designed for UNE.

The center features the Windward Cafe, administrative offices, and the Bush Legacy Library, chronicling the New England history of the late president and his wife. Outdoor terraces and flexible areas provide space for students to study, meet and socialize. The President’s Board Room is a distinguished space for hosting University Board of Trustees meetings as well as faculty, student and administrative groups. The Center also houses the Bush Legacy Collection, including memorabilia given to UNE by George and Barbara Bush. The third floor includes administrative offices and meeting spaces.
